Q. What does the name "Honeydew Syndrome" have to do with the story?
The name "Honeydew Syndrome" has absolutely nothing to do with the story. It was named that because it was the last thing that flashed across my mind when I was trying to go to sleep one night.
Q. Why did you name this comic "Honeydew Syndrome"?
I named it that because it was the last thing I remembered before going to sleep one night, and I decided it was random enough.
Q. Do you read Deathnote? The art style reminds me a lot of Deathnote.
Yes, I have read Deathnote. I never finished reading it though.... I had really loved Deathnote at one point, and I really like the art style, but! I have never made an active attempt to copy the style. In fact, I was surprised at how many times I was asked this, because I thought my style looks quite different. If you're still suspicious, the only thing I can say is that Deathnote's style leans towards realism, and I practice realism a lot.
Q. How do you pronounce Metis' name?
It's pronounced may-TEE.
Q. Why doesn't anyone make fun of Metis by calling him "matey?"
Mostly because I didn't realized it sounded similiar until it was brought to my attention. :(
Q. Metis has a stupid name. How'd you come up with it?
I was trying to go to sleep and I suddenly thought of what someone said in illustration class... He said "you paint so meticulously" to a classmate. ...Yes, that's actually where the name came from.

May is what Charles calls Metis because he's a jackass. It's because of the pronounciation of his name.
